Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 7, 2026

1. Who we are

NameRobo is an AI-powered domain name generator operated as an independent project. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the website at namerobo.com ("the Service"), how we use that information, and the choices you have. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

NameRobo does not require an account. The information we collect is limited to what is necessary to operate the Service:

  • Search prompts and filters. When you submit a description to generate domain names, that prompt and any filters you apply are stored alongside a generated request ID so that the search results can be retrieved on the URL you were directed to.
  • IP address. We log the IP address that makes each request for the purposes of rate limiting, blocking abusive traffic, and protecting the Service from automated misuse.
  • Bug reports and feedback. If you submit a bug report or feedback message, we store the text of that message together with the page you were on. We do not ask for or store your name unless you choose to include it.
  • Click telemetry. We log when a visitor clicks a registrar link from a results page, in aggregate, to understand which registrars are most useful to users. Click logs do not include your prompt content.

We do not collect names, postal addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or any documents from visitors. We do not use account-based identity providers.

3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

NameRobo uses three third-party scripts that may set cookies or store identifiers in your browser. None of these scripts loads until you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, none of these scripts loads at all and the Service remains fully functional.

  • Ackee Analytics (self-hosted, privacy-respecting). Used to count visits and measure which features are popular. Ackee does not use cross-site tracking and assigns short-lived anonymous identifiers.
  • Google Analytics (measurement ID G-DBJ3BX5429). Used to understand site usage. Google Analytics may set cookies and process your IP address. Google's own privacy policy applies to this processing.
  • Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-7302778879881041). Used to show advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing your browser's storage for this site, which will cause the consent banner to reappear on your next visit.

4. Third-party services

To deliver search results, NameRobo sends your prompt to OpenRouter, which routes it to a large-language model provider for domain name generation. Prompts are not shared beyond what is needed to produce a response. Generated domains are then checked for availability via RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol), a public protocol operated by domain registries. When you click a registrar link, you are sent to a third-party registrar (such as Namecheap) using an affiliate URL; the destination registrar's privacy policy applies once you arrive on their site.

5. How long we keep information

Search prompts and request IDs are retained so that you and others with the URL can revisit a result page. We may purge older requests on a rolling basis. IP addresses used for rate limiting are retained only as long as needed for that purpose. Bug reports are retained until resolved or for a reasonable diagnostic window. Aggregate click telemetry is retained for analytics purposes.

6. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Decline cookies on the consent banner — analytics and advertising scripts will not load.
  • Use the Service without submitting bug reports or feedback if you prefer not to share text.
  • Email [email protected] to request deletion of a specific search request you submitted, if you can provide the request ID or approximate timestamp.
  • Use a privacy-respecting browser configuration (such as cookie-blocking extensions) to further limit data sharing.

Where applicable law gives you additional rights — such as the right to access, correct, or delete personal information — you may exercise those rights by contacting us at the email address above. Because we do not maintain accounts, the information we hold about an individual visitor is generally limited to what was just described.

7. Children's privacy

NameRobo is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the Service, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

8. International transfers

The Service is operated using cloud infrastructure that may be located in various countries. By using the Service from outside our hosting region, you consent to the transfer of any information collected through your use of the Service to that hosting region for processing.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by updating that date; continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance.

10. Contact

Questions, concerns, or requests related to this Privacy Policy should be sent to [email protected].
